Greg Favata has been playing guitar and singing for decades on the Chicagoland music scene. After a nearly 20 year run playing weddings and corporate gigs at virtually every major venue in the city with Pursuit (later Greg Favata Orchestra), Greg helped found The Renditions, a 60’s and 70’s group, who enjoyed a successful 8 year run. Greg then joined legendary Chicago rock pioneers, The New Colony Six in 2010, performing such hits as “I Will Always Think About You” and “Things I’d Like to Say”. Greg has opened for acts such as The Ides of March, Davy Jones, and Paul Revere and The Raiders. Having written and recorded several jingles which received extensive airplay on Scott Mackay’s morning show on 95.9 FM The River, Greg also recently wrote, recorded, and produced his first all original CD album, entitled “My Distant Land” which can be purchased at Amazon and I-Tunes.
